Yeah, what’s up Google? Just because I search a lot about elections and political science … you think I’m a 65+ year old male?! What the what?!
From shortformblog:
Google thinks I’m a senior citizen. Based on the websites you visit and the stuff you search for, Google infers your interests, age and gender, in order to show you more relavent ads (digression: It does this, in part, by having partner websites place a cookie on your computer; more on that…
This makes me laugh. On one computer (work, where I’ve recently cleared all cookies & history btw), google thinks I’m a 24-34 year old female, and on another computer (home), google thinks I’m a 65+ male. wrong on both age brackets google, and could care less what gender you think I am. I’ll recheck as I reestablish the cookies/history & see if they reach any sort of consensus.

It’s got me about 65 years old…5 years older than my real age…but I wonder which account it’s using as I have two at Google. (No way to merge them.) Is it somehow using both? Not that any of this matters all that much…or maybe it will?
